Cursive Text Generator

Cursive text here is the Unicode script alphabet: letters that look handwritten and can be copied and pasted. Bold cursive is thicker and has no missing letters.

For learning to write cursive by hand, a printable worksheet is the better tool. The table below is for copying single cursive letters.

Eleven of the regular cursive letters come from an older Unicode block, Letterlike Symbols: ℬ ℰ ℱ ℋ ℐ ℒ ℳ ℛ and ℯ ℊ ℴ. They look slightly different from their neighbours on some phones. Bold cursive has no such gaps.

Calligraphy-style text

Bold cursive and Gothic are the closest to calligraphy you can paste as text. Real calligraphy fonts are files you install in a design app; they do not survive copy and paste into Instagram or WhatsApp.

Can I write cursive in WhatsApp?

WhatsApp has no cursive formatting. Paste cursive letters from this page instead.

Is this the same as cursive handwriting?

It looks similar, but each letter is a separate character. Joined handwriting is drawn, not typed.
