Italic Text Generator
Instagram allows up to 150 characters in a bio.
Usernames take only English letters a to z, numbers, periods and underscores, so styled, Hindi or Tamil text will not save here.
Facebook does not allow symbols or styled letters in profile names.

Italic text from this page uses Unicode italic letters, so it keeps its slant in bios, comments and posts that have no italic button.
One letter is special: the italic small h lives in a different Unicode block (β, U+210E), and the generator uses that character so the word stays complete.
Italic or oblique
A true italic changes letter shapes, for example a single-storey a, while an oblique is the upright letter slanted. The Unicode italic letters here follow the italic shapes used in mathematics. The sans-serif italic is closer to an oblique.
Italic in WhatsApp
In a WhatsApp message, put an underscore on both sides: _italic_. Use the Unicode version only where WhatsApp formatting does not apply, such as your name or about text.
Questions
Are italic numbers available?
No. Unicode has bold and monospace digits but no italic digits, so numbers stay upright.
Why is one letter different in italic?
The italic h was added to Unicode earlier, in the Letterlike Symbols block, so the math italic set left a gap for it. The generator fills the gap with that character.
