Styles that suit gaming names

Small caps, Bold gothic, Black squares and the Currency lookalike read well at small sizes on a game screen. Frames like 【】, 『』 and the rifle ▄︻┻═┳一 are common in clan tags. Effects such as glitch make names longer and are more often refused.

Changing your BGMI or PUBG Mobile name

Renaming uses a Rename Card from your inventory. Open the inventory, use the card, paste the new name and confirm. The game shows whether the name is accepted before you spend the card.

Questions

Is BGMI the same as PUBG Mobile for names?

BGMI is the version of PUBG Mobile published in India. Both use a Rename Card, and both can refuse characters their font does not support.

Why does my BGMI name show boxes?

The game font does not have those characters. Use small caps or a bold style, which are more widely supported.
